Paul Allen "Sonny" Davis, Jr., age 76, died Sunday, August 28, 2016 at Carolinas Healthcare Cleveland. Born in Elkins, West Virginia on October 10, 1939, he was the son of the late Paul Allen and Rachel Mae Wright Davis. Paul was a member of Lafayette Street United Methodist Church. He was a U. S. Army Veteran who served during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He retired from Buckeye Fire Equipment in Kings Mountain as a sales manager. Paul enjoyed Panther Football, fly fishing, camping and woodworking. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.

Paul is survived by his wife of 57 years, Annabel Day Davis; three children, Deborah Page and husband Doug of Shelby, Jeffrey Davis and wife Leslie of Shelby, and Lucinda Davis-Kettner and husband Benjamin of Delaware; two brothers, Stephen Davis and wife Sandy of West Virginia and Mitchell Davis and wife Barbara of New York; four grandchildren, Makayla Peters and husband Dustyn, Orion Page, Kairi Kettner and Kaylee Kettner, and beloved canine companion, "Koko".

Private funeral service will be held at Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain.
