Born March 24, 1942 in Rutherford County, he was a son of the late Joseph Pink Swink and Ruby Sailors Swink.  He retired from Cleveland Mills where he worked in the dye department. He was a member of Ledford Grove Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Pink Swink Jr. & wife, Kathryn, Preston Zeno Swink & wife, Rachel, Roy Buren Swink, Steve Randall Swink, sister Elizabeth Edney and husband, Alfred, brother-in-law Russell Padgett, and sister-in-law, Ruby Swink.

Survivors include his wife of sixteen years, Martha Jo Condrey Swink, two brothers Charles Ivan Swink of Lawndale and Harold Gene Swink and wife, Myrtle of Morganton, sisters Mildred Padgett of Morehead City, Jeanette Scruggs and husband, Glenn of Forest City, Patsy Baker and husband, Glenn of Morganton, and Linda Anderson and husband, Charles of Hudson, and two sisters-in-law, Bobbie Jean Swink of Anderson, SC and Kaye Swink.

Visitation:  6:00 PM to 7:30 PM, Monday at Stamey Funeral Home, Fallston.  At other times, the family will be at 232 Spurling Road, Lawndale.

Funeral Service:  11:00 AM, Tuesday at Ledford Grove Baptist Church. The body will be placed in the church thirty minutes prior to the service.

Burial:  will follow in the church cemetery
