| Mr. Paul Whetstine, 67, of 5011 Harmon Rd. Kings Mountain, passed away Tuesday September 20, 2011 at Crawley Memorial in Boiling Springs, NC. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Charles Sloan, Sr. and Lucy Axsom Whetstine. He was a good husband, great dad, and wonderful grandfather.
PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Charles Sloan Whetstine, Jr.
SURVIVORS: He is survived by his loving wife, Sierra Sue Hawkins Whetstine, one son; David Whetstine of Forest City, five daughters; Angela Gettis and husband Ricky, Mary Bowen and husband Scott, Kimberly Cody and fiancé Eric Pajevski, all of Kings Mountain, Dana Clemons and fiancé Billy Holland of Lawndale, Johnie Pruitt of Gastonia, four sisters; Myrtle Bolton and husband Clayton, Louise Mullis, Carrie Bradley and husband Keith all of Kings Mountain, and Jeanette James of Bessemer City, one brother; Jerry Whetstine of Kings Mountain, twelve grandchildren, Caleb and Stephanie Bowen, Catlin, Cody, and Cory Clemons, Sierra Gettis, Jacob, Gabriel, Noah, and Caden Pruitt, Hunter, Brandon, and Samuel Cody.
VISITATION: The family will receive friends 7:00-9:00 pm Thursday at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Kings Mountain.
FUNERAL: A Graveside service will be held 11:00 am Friday at Christian Freedom Baptist Church in Kings Mountain.
INTERMENT:. Christian Freedom Baptist Church Cemetery.
CLERGY: Rev. Michael chambers will be officiating.
