Pauline Falls Wilburn

Kings Creek -- Mrs. Pauline Falls Wilburn, 97, of 322 Kings Creek Drive, passed away on October 17, 2018 at her daughter's home.

Born in York, she was the widow of David Wilburn Sr. and the daughter of the late Andral Falls Sr. and Callie Martin Falls. Pauline previously worked as postmaster of the Kings Creek Post Office and was a member of Canaan United Methodist Church.

Surviving Mrs. Wilburn are a son, David M. Wilburn Jr and wife, Patricia Ann, of Blacksburg; a daughter, Sandra W. Kelly and husband, Mike, of Greenville, SC; two brothers, Charles and Robert Falls; a sister, Jane Falls; five grandchildren, David M. Wilburn III, William Kelly, Mary Suddeth, Susan Boyle, and Katherine Hertwig; and six great-grandchildren, Kathryn Kelly, Ryan Suddeth, Burns Suddeth, William Hertwig, Michael Hertwig, and Katherine Hertwig.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Wilburn was preceded in death by a son, William Wilburn; three brothers, Kenneth, Dick, and Glenn Falls; and two sisters, Bennie Stackhouse and Sara Hammett.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, 21st of October, 2018, from 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM at Gordon Mortuary of Blacksburg. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:30 PM in the Gordon Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Ed Reynolds and Rev. Beth Drennen officiating. Interment will be at Canaan United Methodist Church Cemetery. Greg Hertwig, Kevin Suddeth, Bill Kelly, David Wilburn, David Falls, Mike Kelly will serve as pallbearers.

The family will be at their respective homes.
