Blacksburg - Peggy Lewis Beckham, 79, of 247 Jumping Branch Road, passed away Friday, March 6, 2026 at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia, NC.

Born in Rutherford County, NC, she was the widow of Julius Douglas Beckham II and the daughter of the late Toye Gaye and Jessie Lee Greene Lewis. She was a member of New Song Community Church and was a Meals on Wheels volunteer for over 8 years.

Peggy is survived by her children, Julius Douglas Beckham III (Melony), Jennifer Beckham Moore (Gary), and Joshua Daniel Beckham (Lindsey); her brother, Frank Lewis (Imma); 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 13th, 2026 from 1:00-2:00 pm at Gordon Mortuary, 400 West Cherokee Street, Blacksburg, SC. Funeral services will immediately follow in the Gordon Mortuary Chapel at 2:00 pm with Rev. James Lingerfelt officiating. Jason Hames, Wyatt Rowe, Joseph Garrett, Gary Dean Moore, Garrett Moore, and Julius Beckham will serve as pallbearers.
