Peggy Louise McSwain Peace age 73 died Saturday March 5, 2016. Born in Cleveland County on October 11, 1942 she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Pinkney and Bessie Kathleen Black McSwain. Peggy was a former seamstress for Fox Mountain Weavers. She enjoyed crocheting, reading her Bible and other books, and going to Thrift Stores and yard sales. Peggy loved her cats.

Peggy is survived by her husband of 55 years, Michel Peace; a daughter, Tabitha Peace of Shelby; a sister, Gail McSwain Poston and husband Roger of Shelby; and numerous nieces, nephews, and many loving friends.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday March 8, 2016 at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow at Sunset Cemetery. The family will receive friends an hour before the service from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm
