Perry was born February 16, 1934 in Rutherford County, NC to the late Zonie Estep and Florence Pintuff Estep.  He worked in textiles for many years and was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church.  Perry enjoyed traveling and seeing new places.

      In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, James Estep and Dan Estep; one nephew, Michael Estep and a niece, Barbara Philbeck.

      Survivors include two sisters, Margaret Hines and husband, Merlin and Betty Ray all of Forest City; one sister in-law, Irene Estep of Canton, NC and several nieces and nephews.

     Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, June 14, 2013 at the New Bethel Baptist Church with Reverend Stephen Matheny and Reverend Glen Wilson officiating.  Interment will follow in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
