| Philip A. Lawson, Sr., age 87, resident of 1240 Second Street Kings Mountain, NC died May 29, 2012 at Carolina’s Medical Center, Charlotte, NC. He was born in Jonesville, VA to the late Dillard B. Lawson and Ada Phillips Lawson. He was also preceded in death by 3 brothers and 1 sister. Mr. Lawson was retired from Sadie Mills, Kings Mtn. NC after 20 years of service. He served in the United States Navy during World War II on the USS Blackhawk in the Pacific Theatre.
