Philip Alan "Al" Yelton, age 66 died on Friday, February 14, 2020 at Hospice Wendover. Born in Cleveland County, on June 10, 1953, Al was the son of the late Philip H. and Elizabeth Irene Baker Yelton. Al was a 1971 graduate of Shelby High School. He received an associate degree from Cleveland Community College in Electronics. He was employed by Earl Owenby studios as a sound director and then went to work for Larentos as a sound director in Wilmington. In addition to his parents, Al is preceded in death by two brothers, Tony Lee Yelton and Randy Scott Yelton.

Al is survived by two sons, Ariel Sage Yelton of Tennessee and Elijah Yelton of Kansas; and a sister, Elizabeth Yelton of Shelby.

Special thanks to Hans Jau and wife Janet for their caring and kindness during the last years of Al's life.

Memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Kings Mountain Family Worship Center , 1818 Shelby Road, Kings Mountain NC.
