Phillip Eric Beam, age 55 of New Prospect Church Rd. passed away Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Caromont Regional Medical Center. He was born September 12, 1962 to Geraldine Turner Beam of Bessemer City and the late Thomas Marion Beam. He was employed at Freightliner, was a member of St. Mark's Church Lutheran Church and was a mason. Eric was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 32 years, Janet Ayers Beam; son, Gus Beam; sister, Lori Beam Ward and husband, Todd of Lake Wylie; nephews, Jacob and Ethan Ward; and mother-in-law, Julie Ayers of Cherryville.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Rose Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Pastor Jonathan Gantt and Pastor Scott Homesley officiating.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Carpenter-Porter Funeral & Cremation Services.
