Phillip Greene, 84, of 2624 Cleveland Ave, passed away on Saturday, October 29th, 2022, at Wendover Hospice Home.

Born in Spruce Pine, North Carolina, he was the husband of Susan White Greene and the son of the late Claude Greene and Peggy Cox Greene. Phillip formerly worked in textiles and was a member of Eastside Baptist Church.

Surviving Mr. Greene are his son, Christopher Greene; four brothers, Johnny Greene of Spruce Pine, NC, Scotty Greene of Salisbury, Billy Greene of Grover, and Wayne Greene; one sister, Peggy Ledford of Grover; one grandchild, Dustin Greene, and one great-grandchild, Reagan Greene.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm at Eastside Baptist Church of Blacksburg, 1284 East Cherokee Street, Blacksburg, SC. Funeral services will immediately follow at Eastside Baptist Church at 3:00 pm with Rev. Steve Waters and Rev. Eric Sellers officiating. Interment will be at Grover City Cemetery. Billy Greene, Scotty Greene, Wayne Greene, Richard White, Dustin Greene, and Chris Greene will serve as pallbearers.

The family will be at the residence.
