Gaffney -- Piney Trees Martin, Jr., 78, of 149 Piney Knob Drive, passed away Friday, January 29th, 2021, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.

Born in Gaffney, he was the husband of Barbara McAbee Martin and the son of the late Piney Martin Sr. and Frances Allison Martin. Mr. Martin retired from textiles and was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed fishing, sports memorabilia, and collecting antiques.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Martin is survived by three sons, Jimmy Martin (Beth), Piney Martin III, and Dewayne Martin, all of Gaffney; one brother, Danny K. Martin of Gaffney; and two grandchildren, Hailie Martin and Alex Martin.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Martin was preceded in death by his daughter, Stephanie Martin, and his brother, Robert Martin.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at 2:00 pm at El Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, 116 Billy Goat Bridge Road, Gaffney, SC with Rev. Virgil Hampton officiating.

The family will be at the residence.
