Mrs. Rachel Lail Smith, age 73, of 928 Goucher School Road, Gaffney, South Carolina, answered the Master’s call on Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System, Spartanburg, South Carolina.

 Daughter of the late Grady David Lail and the late Nellie Champion Lail, she was a native of Gaffney.  She was born on April 1, 1941.  

  She is survived by her daughter, Ms. Recca Noblitt of Lawndale, North Carolina; two sisters, Mrs. Ruby Crawford (Joe Dean) and Mrs. Ruth Hall, both of Gaffney; her brother, Roger Lail (Jimmie) of Cliffside, North Carolina; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and other relatives.

  Memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 26^th, at 3:30 P.M. at the home of her daughter, Ms. Recca Noblitt at 106 Pullen Circle, Lawndale, North Carolina 28090.

         The family is receiving friends at the home of her daughter.
