Ralph R. Walker, 80, died October 18, 2014, at Brookview HealthCare Center, Gaffney, SC. Born in Cleveland County, NC, he was a son of the late O. M. and Elsie Wood Walker. He was of the Baptist faith and was retired from Duke Power. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
He is survived by his son - Clint Walker of Blacksburg, SC; three step-daughters - Annette Skelton of Seneca, SC, Jackie Leatherwood of Woodruff, SC, and Vanessa Price of Roebuck, SC; two granddaughters; three great-granddaughters; two brothers - Abraham Walker of Blacksburg, SC, and David Walker of Gaffney, SC; and two sisters - Alma Lee Vann of Melbourne, FL, and Nancy Adams of Grover, NC. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife - Margie Addis Walker; his daughter - Sandra Walker Thomas; brothers - Manson Walker, John Walker, Joseph Walker, Ronald Walker, Paul Walker and Gudger Walker; and sisters - Annie Sapoch, Geraldine Peeler and Lorena Humphries.
A Celebration Of Life Service will be held Saturday, October 25, 2014, 2:00 PM, at Grover Church of God, Grover, NC, with Revs. Ron Hawkins and Eddie Sapoch officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. At other times, they will be at their respective homes.
