Randy Joe Grant, age 61, of Forest City, NC, died Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at the Hospice House of Rutherford County.
Randy was born June 5, 1952 in Rutherford County, NC to the late Marion Theodore Grant and Virginia Veril Tate Grant. He was a graduate of Chase High School, class of 1970 and worked in manufacturing most of his life. Randy enjoyed gardening and especially working with flowers.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Marshall, Donald, Warner, Roger and Joe Grant.
Survivors include his sister, Cathey Earls and husband, Tommy of Shelby, NC; two brothers, Steve Grant of Charlotte and Michael Grant and wife, Edith of Caroleen. He is also survived by two lifelong friends, Mike Lee and Rita Womack both of Forest City.
A private celebration of Randy’s life will be held on a later date.
