Ray Chapman
Mr. Ray Chapman, 66 of Casar went on to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus
Christ on May 16, 2013 at his home.

Born in Cleveland County, he was a son of Eugene Chapman.  He was a
self-employed electrician and went on to work at Azdale.  He was an
attending member at Zoar Baptist Church in Casar and enjoyed riding his
motorcycle, loved animals, but most of all loved spending time with his
grandchildren.  He also served in the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict.

In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his brother, Michael
Chapman.

He is survived by his son Robert "Bobby" Chapman of Shelby; daughter-in-law,
Leslie Chapman; his former wife and mother of his son, Betty Scott of
Shelby.  He was also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Keaton "Little
Dude" Chapman, Allie "Little Lady" Chapman and LeAnna "Friend" Nettles; his
brother, Tommy Chapman and his wife, Betsy of Belton, SC; sister-in-law,
Gail Chapman of Casar and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Saturday at Stamey Funeral Home, Fallston.

Funeral Service: 3:00 PM, Saturday at Stamey Funeral Home Chapel, Fallston

Officiating: Rev. Chris Patterson and Dr. Tim Sims

Burial: Zoar Baptist Church Cemetery, Casar

Memorials: May be made to the Paralyzed Veterans Association, 801 Eighteenth
Street NW, Washington, DC 20006-3517 or to Zoar Baptist Church Building
Fund,  PO Box 176, Casar, NC 28020 or to DAV, PO Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH
