Ray Childers, age 87, resident of Summit Place, Kings Mtn. NC went to be with the Lord on October 1, 2013 at Summit Place.  He was born in York Co, SC to the late Samuel Teal Childers and Myrtle Mauney Childers. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Dover Childers and a son Randy Ray Childers.     He was a member of Dixon Presbyterian Church and retired from Minnette Mills, Grover, NC. Mr. Childers was a farmer and served in the United States Army during World War II.  He was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather.

    Annie Mae Berry and husband Tom, Kings Mtn. NC

4 Grandchildren: Stephanie Childers Haddaway, McKenna Flaherty, Connor Flaherty, and Kaitlin Flaherty.

4 Great Grandchildren: Hunter Haddaway, Lola Haddaway, Alex Haddaway, and Creed Haddaway.
