Reba Inez Nance Lankford, 84, passed away on Monday, January 6, 2014 at Wendover Hospice House.  Born in Cherokee County, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Ben and Dollie Ellis Nance.  She was also preceded in death by her husband Morris Lankford and two sisters.  Reba was a member of Westwood Heights Baptist Church.  She retired from Sears as an audit credit manager after 45 years of employment.  She enjoyed reading and listening to gospel music.

Reba is survived by her children, Ronnie Lankford and wife Doris of Shelby, Debbie Lankford Green and husband Jerry of Bessemer City, Reca Lankford Wright of Shelby, Denise Lankford Albea and husband Tim of Shelby; brother-in-laws, J. D. Haynes of Boiling Springs and Jack Lane of Shelby; 6 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 5 step-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, January 9, 2014 at Westwood Height Baptist Church.  The Rev. David Costner will be officiating.  Burial will follow in Sunset Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 5:30 – 7:00pm on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at Cecil M Burton Funeral Home and Crematory.  At other times the family will be at the home.
