Reece Arnold, Jr., 55, of Dedmond Road, Mooresboro, passed away on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at his residence. A native of Lee County, North Carolina, he was born on May 30, 1957, a son of the Reece Arnold, Sr., and Ellon Holder Arnold of Shelby. He was a textile employee and a member of New Life Outreach in Shelby.
He is survived by his wife, Traci Pearson Arnold; three sons, Reece Arnold, III and wife Mary of Oklahoma, Jamer Ernest Arnold of New York, and Jeremy Scott Arnold of Georgia; two daughters, Harley Elizabeth and Janie Anne Arnold, both of the home; two step-sons, Travis Wesley Taylor of Cliffisde and Dustin Bo Pearson of the home; one step-daughter, Diedre Diane Pearson of Mooesboro; one brother, John Arch Carpenter of Shelby; four sisters, Trudie Jones of Grover, Christine Beaver of Grover, Rebecca Faye Arnold, James Ernest Arnold, Jr., Kayman Alex Powell, Sybil Lindsay Powell, Damien Bobby Powell, and Rebekah Makayla Taylor.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00pm on Sunday, August 26, 2012 at New Life Outreach with Pastor Jerry Owens and Rev. Sheila Grigg officiating. Burial will follow at Cliffside Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2012 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm at McKinney- Landreth & Carroll Funeral Home.
