Reflections: Through the Aperture of Karin Mullins
The Winter Exhibit in the Cleveland County Memorial Library features the interesting photography of artist-photographer, Karin Mullins. The show opens December 5 and will be on display now through January 31, 2014.
Karin studied art in New York and Colorado. She was an avid reader and loved movies. Friends say that she could name every major actor or actress in any move you could name. Karin also loved the outdoors, nature and animals, and was especially fond of cats, which is very evident in her photography.
Karin had wanted to exhibit her work in the CCML Gallery, but after a brave 3-year struggle with cancer, she passed away on March 3 of this year before a show could be arranged. “Reflections” is shown in her memory and in honor of her many gifts. It was her wish that any proceeds from sales of her photography be donated to the Cleveland County Humane Society. If you would like to purchase a piece, please speak with her friend, Bridget Norton, on our library staff. She will assure that the funds are given to the Humane Society.
