Reginald William "Reggie" Strutt, age 72 of Roy Eaker Rd. passed away Monday, January 25, 2021 at Atrium Health Cleveland.

He was born July 18, 1948 in Jefferson County, Kentucky to the late Jack William Strutt and Patricia "Paddy" Hoyle Myers. Reggie was a retired dock worker from Carolina Freight and ABF. He was a member of Riverview Baptist Church in Lincolnton and while he may not have been perfect, he sure loved the Lord. Reggie loved horses and he enjoyed watching his grandkids play sports.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gaye Blaine Beam Strutt.

Survivors include his three daughters, Holly Gidney and husband, Tyson of Cherryville, Sally Strutt of Lincolnton, and Sara Strutt of Cherryville; grandchildren, Zion Beam Strutt, Teaghan Elijah Strutt, Raylei Giana Gidney, Layla Senae Strutt, Marley Jayne Daniels, and Jakobe Kye Gidney; sister-in-law, Jane Buchanan; nephew, William Shane Black; and numerous other relatives.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 2:00 PM at City Memorial Cemetery. The family will greet friends after the service.
