Reita Rae Black Stroupe, age 81, of Kenwood Rd., passed away Saturday May 23, 2020 at her residence.

She was born July 16, 1938 in Cleveland Co. to the late Wray and Ailene Sneed Black.

Reita was a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church, found great enjoyment in reading, walking and being outdoors but most of all she enjoyed her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 61 years, Jerry Stroupe; son, David Stroupe (Cindy) of Cherryville; daughter, Donna Abee (Mark) of Mint Hill; six grandchildren Mary Catherine and Caroline Stroupe, Taylor Abee, Addison Kozlowski (Mike), Elliot and Isaac Abee; sister, Gail Morgan of Waco; brothers, Larry Black of Shelby, and Ronnie Black of Orlando Florida.

A Family memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church, Cherryville with Rev. Dr. Bill Lowe officiating on Monday.
