Rena Hester Jarvis, age 36, of Forest City, died Sunday, October 2, 2016 at the Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.
Born on Tuesday, November 27, 1979 in Cleveland County, she is the daughter of Deborah Heusinkveld Stowe who resides in Ellenboro and the late Kenneth David Hester. She was a graduate of East Rutherford High School, class of 1997 and a lifetime member of Chase High Baptist Church.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by grandparents, Roger and Myrtle Heusinkveld and two great-grandmothers, Eunice Saine and Rena Heusinkveld.
Besides her mother, survivors include her husband, Joel Jarvis; two daughters, Bradie Jarvis and Emily Jarvis of the home; step-brother, Robbie Stowe and step-sister, Lisa Odell both of Ellenboro. She is also survived by eleven aunts and uncles, forty-four cousins and twelve second cousins.
A memorial service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at Chase Baptist Church with Reverend Scott Butler officiating. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall immediately following the service.
Memorial donations are suggested to Harrelson Funeral Home, 1251 U.S. Highway 221a, Forest City, NC 28043 to help defray funeral costs.
