Rev. Grover John "Johnny" Hudson, Jr. of 118-1 Jesse Mountain Road, passed
away Thursday, July 28, 2016 at his residence.

Born March 17, 1949 in Cleveland County, he was a son of the late Grover
Cornelius Hudson and Elmer Lillie Swink Hudson. He was retired as a
minister and was a member of Zoar Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a great
granddaughter, Gracie Hoyle.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Margie Epley Hudson; a son, Michael
Hudson and wife, Jessica of Casar; daughter, Margaret Price of Casar;
daughter-in-law, Terrie Hudson of Connelly Springs; six sisters, Betty H.
Hudson and Margie H. Hudson both of Bostic, Vennie H. Hudson and Zenie Smith
both of Casar, Georgia Barrett of Shelby and Wilma Epley of Glen Alpine; six
grandchildren, Beverly Price, Daniel Price and wife, Brianna, Caitlin
Hudson, Jamie Hudson, Michael Hudson, Jr. and Lucas Hudson; step grandson,
Andrew Tran; and two great grandchildren, Nathaniel Price and Dixie Price.

Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Saturday at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral
Home

The funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Sunday at Zoar Baptist Church with
Revs. Chris Patterson, Clayton Hartsell and Dale Mellon officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family would like to thank the staff and nurses at Hospice of Burke
County for all of their care and support during Johnny's illness.
