Rev. Mildred Streets Maze
  Rev. Mildred Streets Maze, age 68, a resident of 700 Battleground Villa, died September 15, 2013 at Caromont Health in Gastonia. She was born in Keyser, West Virginia, daughter of the late Charles Robert Streets and Elsie G. Hanlin Streets. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother Lawrence Allen Streets. She grew up on a farm in Mt. Storm, West Virginia where she attended Mt. Storm Elementary School. Millie also attended Bayard High School, Potomac State College and Mt. Vernon Bible College in Mt. Vernon, Ohio. She started her career as a waitress at the Mt. Storm Lodge which was also the Greyhound Bus Station. After graduation, she moved to Washington, D.C. where she was employed at  the Library of Congress. This is where she met her husband, Bill Maze, who was a US Marine at that time. Mrs. Maze traveled and had various positions, one as the Executive Administrator for the President of the Indiana State University. After moving from there, she was the administrative assistant for the President of the Mt. Vernon Bible College in Ohio. She became a minister and served various congregations which included writing and directing dramas, utilizing her very creative talents. She was a member of Foursquare Gospel Church in Kings Mountain where she formerly served as co-pastor with her husband, Rev. William “Bill” Maze. Mrs. Maze served as a Pastor for 31 years.
