Reverend Boyd Lee Lattimore, Jr., 74 went on to be with the Lord
Wednesday morning, January 29, 2014.
Born November 11, 1939 in Cleveland County, he was a son of the late Boyd
Lee Lattimore, Sr. and Essie Spurling Lattimore. He served the Lord as a
Baptist Minister for over 30 years. He was a loving husband, father,
grandfather and friend who loved the Lord and his family. Rev. Lattimore
touched many lives throughout his life. He will be greatly missed but our
loss is Heaven's gain.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Joe E.
Lattimore; a sister, Catherine Lattimore Cline and an infant son.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Virginia Dobbins Lattimore;
daughter, Julie Lattimore Kerley and husband, Tim of Newton; two sons,
Russell Lattimore and wife, Cherriee of Granite Falls and Jon Lattimore and
wife, Ruth Ann of Mt. Airy; four grandchildren, Cortney Kerley Beckler and
husband, Brandon, Cameran Kerley, Nathan Lattimore and Caylee Kerley.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:45 PM
Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Polkville Baptist Church
Funeral Service: 3:00 PM, Saturday, February1, 2014 at Polkville Baptist
Church
Officiating: Revs. Rick Hamrick, Dale Byrd and Keith Dixon
Burial: will follow in Lattimore Family Cemetery
