Richard A Tillman, Jr., 85, of 7464 Hull Rd, Lawndale, passed away Sunday,
October 9, 2011 at Hospice at Wendover in Shelby.
He was born in Lincoln County on June 30, 1926 to the late Richard Tillman,
Sr. and Bryte Wehunt Tillman. He was a member of Bess Chapel United
Methodist Church and was retired from Burris Furniture and lifelong farmer.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Deanne
Shelton Tillman; two brothers, Blaine Tillman and Pryde Tillman; five half
brothers, Guy Tillman, Walter Tillman, Ruffin Tillman, Clarence Tillman, and
Everett Tillman; sister, Lorene Tillman Bess; and three half sisters, Hattie
Tillman Bess, Vernie Tillman Beam and Gertie Tillman.
He is survived by his best friend and companion, Molly; sister, Ruby Tillman
Saine of Lawndale; A Special Nephew and Caregiver, Johnny Tillman; and numerous
loving nieces and nephews.
