Cherryville - Mr. Richard Bartlett, 85, passed away on Wednesday, November
14, 2018 at Carolina Care Health & Rehabilitation in Cherryville.

Mr. Bartlett was born on March 26, 1933 in McDowell County, NC a son of the
late Jennings Arthur Bartlett and Rosa Lee Mathis Bartlett. He was retired
as a supervisor from Rutherford Electric in Cherryville and was a member of
Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Cherryville. Mr. Bartlett served in the U.S.
Army during the Korean Conflict.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters and three
brothers.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Dell Hill Bartlett of the home; two
sons, Edwin Bartlett and wife Donna and David Bartlett and wife Cheryl all
of Gastonia; a daughter, Peggy Bartlett Mullen and husband Jerry of Dallas;
four grandchildren, Ashley Heaney, Steven Bartlett, Matthew Mullen and Chris
Bartlett and five great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:30 PM on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at
Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home & Cremation Service.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 PM on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at
Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home & Cremation Service Chapel with Rev. Ken
Gibson officiating.

Burial will be in Gaston Memorial Park in Gastonia with Military Honors
provided by Cherryville American Legion Post 100 Honor Guard.
