| Richard C. Porter, 63, of Shelby, NC passed away in his home on Monday, August 1, 2011, after his courageous battle with cancer. He was born on June 4, 1948 in Ft. Myers, Fl, and relocated to NC in 2007.
He is survived by the love of his life, Patricia, and their three daughters; Christine and her husband Tom, Amanda and her husband Chip, and Ryan and her husband R.C.; and ten grandchildren.
He was an electrician by trade, and after retiring, spent his time crafting the wood-working projects that were his passion. Richard will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.
