Richard Dennis "Quick" Britt, 56 of Shelby, went to be with the Lord on
Friday, October 14, 2011 at Hospice of Cleveland County.
Rick was born in Lawrenceville, GA on July 9, 1955. He was an employee at
Coastal Printing and Graphics in Shallotte, NC. Quick Rick was very
enthusiastic about Nascar, and was a huge Ricky Rudd fan. He also enjoyed
the unforgettable moments spent with his second family also known as "Root
Hog." He graduated locally from Crest High School in the class of 1973. He
was best remembered by his sense of humor and hard work. We will all
sincerely miss his barbarqueing abilities and his zest for life.
He is survived by daughters, Amber Britt and Anna Britt both of Lawndale;
sons, Keith Britt of Cherryville and Evan Clark of Michigan. He also leaves
behind his mother, Barbara Britt Harris and husband, Garland of Lawndale,
father, Dennis Britt and wife, Cueteen of Drexel; three brothers, Russell
Britt of Shelby, Terry Britt of Lawndale and Tim Britt of Gastonia; one
sister, Tracey Britt Staton and husband, Jonathan of Lawndale; and many
Uncles, Aunts and family from Georgia.
Visitation: 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Sunday, October 16, 2011 at Stamey Funeral
Home, Fallston. At other times the family will be at the residence of his
mother, 362 Dirty Ankle Road, Lawndale, NC.
Graveside Service: 4:00 PM, Sunday, October 16, 2011 at Rose Hill Memorial
Park, Fallston.
