Richard "Doug" Stroup, age 55, resident of Kings Mountain, unexpectedly left this world on February 20. 2016. He was born in Cuyahoga County Ohio to the late Hughlon Yates Stroup and Lois Jean Blanton Ivester. He was also preceded in death by his brother Ronnie Stroup. He was a member of the Royal Praise Ministries Church in Kings Mountain. He has been a cook at Ronda's Kitchen for the past 8 years and was previously employed by Anvil Knits of Kings Mountain. He loved working and spending time with his children.
