Richard McRorie, 88, of Church St., died Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at Carolina Health Care Charlotte.

He was born on June 20, 1932 in Mecklenburg Co., a son of the late Richard and Myrtle Mae Hampton McRorie. He was the owner of Petroleum Tank Service and was a veteran of the US Army serving during Korea. Richard enjoyed Facebook, talking politics, fishing, and his family.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a sister Dorothy Turner.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years Bertha Martinez McRorie, children Marie Howard (Rodney) Columbia, SC, Donna Hunt (Larry), Salem, NJ, Morgan McRorie Vickers (Matt), Cherryville, Cindy Brennan (Lee) Tim Christopherson (Leslie), Lincolnton, and Richard McRorie, Jr., Pittsburgh, PA, sister Nell Frances Ross (Rodney) Lincolnton, 16 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and numerous other family.

A Celebration of Life will be Saturday June 27,2020 from Noon-4 PM at the home.
