Richard Wayne Moore, 57, of Sandy Run Church Road, Mooresboro, died on Tuesday, February 03, 2015 at his residence. A native of Cleveland County, he was born on March 20, 1957, a son of the late Ray and Phyrnia Frye Moore. He was a retired truck driver and was a member of Crestview Baptist Church of Shelby where he was a member of the In Depth Sunday School Class. He loved to watch his grandchildren in all their activities and was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Lugene Pittman Moore; three sons, Derric Moore and wife Kelli of Mooresboro, Adam Moore and wife Jenny of Gaffney, SC, and Tyler Moore of Mooresboro; one daughter, Amanda Moore of Lawndale; one brother, Bob Moore and wife Kathy of Blacksburg, SC; two sisters, Jane Wright and husband Don of Shelby and Ann Moore of Goose Creek, SC; his grandchildren, Brooke Bailes and husband AJ, Brad Moore, Caitlin Ernest, Aiden Ernest, Ava Moore and Addison Moore; one great grandchild, Gabe Bailes.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4:00pm on Thursday, February 05, 2015 at Crestview Baptist Church with the Rev. Ray Farrow and Rev. Stan Webb officiating. Visitation will be held from 7:00pm-9:00pm on Wednesday, February 04, 2015 at McKinney-Landreth & Carroll Funeral and Cremation Service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pediatric Heart Fund, Attn.: Kelly Hewitt, 59 Bee Street, MSC 201, Charleston, SC 29425 in memory of Wayne Moore or in honor of Addison Rae Moore.
