| Rickey Gene McSwain, 56, of Autumn Circle, Ellenboro, died on Tuesday, July 09, 2013 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. A native of Cleveland County, he was born on May 16, 1957, a son of Bobby Gene McSwain of Mooresboro and the late Catherine Ann Callahan McSwain. He was a retired mechanic. Rickey was also a member of Gantt’s Grove Baptist Church. He loved racing, raced R-C Racing and loved camping and being outdoors.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Street McSwain; one son, Michael Chad McSwain and wife Barbara of Shiloh; one daughter, Kristi McSwain of the home and fiancé Scott Morrison of Mooresboro; one brother, Eddie Dean McSwain of Shelby; one sister, Teresa McSwain Hamrick and husband Richard of Boiling Springs; his grandchildren, James Paxton McSwin, Savannah Morgan McSwain, Thomas Austin Granger, and Haley Louise Granger.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00pm on Friday, July 12, 2013 at Gantt’s Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Lane and Rev. Owen Duncan officiating. Burial will follow in the Gantt’s Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the sanctuary.
