Gaffney -- Ricky Gene Richards, Sr., 58, of 109 Monticello Street, passed away Wednesday, July 11th, 2018, at his residence.

Born in Gaffney, he was the son of Jennie Martin Moss and the late Gene Richards. Mrs. Richards worked in textiles.

In addition to his mother, Mr. Richards is survived by two sons, Ricky Richards Jr. and Dakota Richards; one daughter, Ashley Echoles; one brother, Eddie Richards; two sisters, Gloria Hambight and Tammy Martinez; and three grandchildren, Alexander Richards, Adden Richards, and Ski Echoles.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his son, Colby Richards, and his sisters, Benita Scruggs and Gwen Hall.

Memorial services will be on Friday, July 20th, 2018, at 5:00 pm at Gordon Mortuary Chapel, 400 West Cherokee Street, Blacksburg, South Carolina 29702. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
