SHELBY- Ricky Irvin Simpson, 56, passed away Monday March 28, 2016 at Carolinas Healthcare Systems-Cleveland. A native of Lincoln County, he was the son of Max Simpson of Icard and the late Mary Bolick Simpson.

PRECEDED: In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by a brother, Edward Joe Simpson and a great grandchild, Alyssa.

SURVIVED: In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Dennis Queen Simpson of the home; one son, Jamie Simpson; two step sons and two step daughters; two sisters, Debra Shook and husband Jerry of Conley Springs, Shelia Messenger and husband Roger of Granite Falls; several grand and great grandchildren nieces and nephews.

SERVICES: A memorial service will be held 4pm Friday at Mulls Chapel Baptist Church on Hwy. 18.
