Rita Fletcher, age 56, of Forest City, died Monday, December 29, 2014 at her residence.
Born September 8, 1958 in Spartanburg County, she was a daughter to the late William Carl Martin and Grace Stacy Martin. Rita worked for Reeves Brothers Mill for many years and Watts Regulator for several years. She also enjoyed working as a Karaoke Disc Jockey at several local venues. She loved music, going to the beach, having a good time and being a people person. She was loved by all of her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Barbara Whitaker.
Survivors include her husband, Kevin Fletcher; daughter, Stacy Scruggs of Forest City; two step-sons, Phillip Fletcher of Mayo, SC and Scott Fletcher of Spartanburg; step-daughter, Stephanie Williams also of Mayo; ten grandchildren and a nephew, Vernon Taylor of Ellenboro.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Brian Melton officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
