Robert Alan Greenberg

Mr. Robert “Bob” Alan Greenberg, of 204 Cross Creek Dr., Shelby, North Carolina, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 25, 2011. He had a lifelong love of the water and boats and spent his entire adult life working in the marine industry. From 1989 to 1994 Mr. Greenberg was Vice President/General Manager of the yacht division of Sea Ray Boats in Merritt Island, Florida. For the following eight years he was the owner and President of Paradise Marine of Melbourne. From 2002 to 2010 he served as Vice-President of the Chris Craft Corporation. Most recently, Mr. Greenberg worked as a business and legal consultant in the marine and RV industries. Mr. Greenberg mentored many people throughout his career and touched many lives with his knowledge, support, and encouragement.

Mr. Greenberg was preceded in death by his uncle, Mr. Mitchell Greenberg, of New Jersey. He is survived by his wife, Beth Norman, of Cross Creek Drive, his parents, Raymond and Phyllis Greenberg, of Shelby, North Carolina, his brother, Gary Greenberg, and wife Candace, of Maine, and four loved nephews: Alex Greenberg, of Shelby, Dan Greenberg, of  Maine, Cameron Williams, and Jordan Williams, both of Virginia.

Mr. Greenberg was admired, respected, and much loved by his family and friends, and will be sorely missed by many.

Visitation will be held Friday, January 28, 2011 at the Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home in Shelby, North Carolina, at 5:30pm, with a memorial service following at 6:30pm.  Dr. M. Luke Harkey will be officiating.

Cecil M Burton Funeral Home will be serving the family of Mr. Greenberg.
