Robert "Bob" Joel Vincent age 67, died Monday, July 27, 2015. Born in Mecklenburg County on December 24, 1947, he was the son of the late Willie Joel and Loree Hampton Croxton Vincent. Robert was a commercial plumber/ pipe fitter for general contracting for a number of years. He served in the Army during the Vietnam Conflict and received the Purple Heart and the Medal of Valor for his service, and was proud to be a disabled Veteran. He loved Nascar and fishing. Robert is survived by a son, Joel Vincent of Missouri; a step daughter, Kimberly Coleman of Florida; two sisters, Shirley Poole of Shelby and Kate Peebles and husband Sam of Colorado; a grandson, Brandon Coleman; and nieces and nephew, Vonnie Poole, Seth Poole, and Kimberly Davenport.

Memorial service will be held on Saturday August 8, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will receive friends following the service.
