Belwood - Robert David Parker, 67 of Belwood-Lawndale Road, Lawndale passed
away August 30, 2016 at Carolinas HealthCare System-Cleveland.

Born August 24, 1949 in Cleveland County, he was a son of Robert Morgan
Parker and the late Doris Julia Martin Parker. Mr. Parker retired from
Burns High School after thirty years experience teaching in the business
department. He was a member of David's Chapel United Methodist Church. Mr.
Parker coached the Belwood Braves of the Upper Cleveland Babe Ruth Baseball
League. He was also an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife of forty-three years,
Kathy Richards Parker; sons and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Summer Parker of
Gaffney, SC and Mark Parker of Polkville; brother, Charles Parker and wife
Marsha of Hickory; mother-in-law, Lorene Richards of Lawndale; and two
grandchildren, Anderson Parker and Ashlyn Parker.

The visitation will be Thursday from 6:00PM until 7:30PM at Stamey-Tysinger
Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be Friday at 11:00AM at Knob Creek United Methodist
Church with Revs. Juston Smith and Jim Kilby officiating. The body will be
placed in the church thirty minutes prior to the service.

Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Memorial Park in Fallston.
