Mr. Robert Edward “Bob” Yarboro, 55, passed away December 29, 2012 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center in Shelby.
He was born June 5, 1957 in Cleveland County, NC, to Ann Jones Thompson of Shelby and Alvin Edward “Ed” Yarbro, Jr. of Kings Mountain.
Bob graduated from Crest High School in Shelby and attended Appalachian State University in Boone and the University of North Carolina of Charlotte. He was a former employee of the State Employees Credit Union in Charlotte for over 15 years and a current member of Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Shelby.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Edgar C. Thompson; maternal grandparents, Howard and Lila Lee and paternal grandparents Alvin & Ethel Yarbro, Sr.
He is survived by his parents, Alvin Edward Yarbro, Jr. & Ann Jones Thompson, his stepmother, Linda Yarbro Cloniger; two sisters, Abbie Michael and husband, Mark of Kings Mountain and Lisa Whitener and husband Dennis of Hickory; niece Jordon Moore and
nephew, Justin Cook of Kings Mountain; aunts Jan Silvia of Belmont and Barbara Jenkins and husband Dave of Bessemer City.
The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and staff in the Intensive Care Unit at Cleveland Regional Medical Center for the loving care, kindness, and support they provided for our son, brother & family during this difficult time.

Day & Time: Wednesday, January 2nd, 1:00 – 2:00 pm
Graveside Service: A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, 2:45 pm, at Kings Mountain City Cemetery.
Memorials: Shelby Boys or Girls Club or charity of donor’s choice.
