Robert Eugene Spencer, age 52 of Forest City, passed away on Monday, February 20, 2017 at his residence.

He was born in Spartanburg, SC on February 15, 1965 to Joyce Brackins Spencer and the late Robert Edward "Doobie" Spencer. He was a machine operator and was employed by Timken. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Pacolet.

Mr. Spencer is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Spencer of the home; three daughters, April Dawn Woody (Robin), Brittany Ann Barber (Derek), and Summer Nicole Spencer; one brother, Eddie Preston Spencer (Hazel); one sister, Karen Spencer Sturgill (Homer); seven grandchildren and many adopted grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

The family will receive friends from 6:00pm until visitation attendance dissipates on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at Eggers Funeral Home of Cliffside. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, Febraury 24, 2017 at 4:00pm at Floyd's Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Diehl and Roger Gosnell to officiate. Graveside service and interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brian Koone, Michael Osborne, George Schmidt, Derek Barber, Eddie Spencer, and Homer Sturgill.
