Robert Franklin "Bobby" Ernst, age 68 resident of Kings Mountain, NC entered into eternal peace in the early morning of February 7, 2016 at Carolinas Healthcare System, Kings Mountain. He was born in Brown Co., OH to the late Odrey "Duke" Ernst and Pauline Dotson Ernst. He was also preceded in death by sisters, Toni Lawson and Sue Ernst and grandson, Robert Franklin Ernst. Mr. Ernst was an electrician and of the Baptist Faith. He was an avid golfer and fisherman and was a member of the Gaston Co. Senior Golf Association. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and received numerous medals including the Purple Heart. He was a member of the American Legion.

Sisters: Martha Scism and husband Bruce, Kings Mtn. NC

Roxanne McDonald, Kings Mtn. NC.

8 Grandchildren: Ricky Carroll, Jr., Kenneth Greason, III and wife Tamra, Tangie Carroll, Deanna Carroll, Heidi Carroll, Zachary Carroll, Elijah Ernst, and Chloe Jane Ernst.

6 Great Grandchildren.
