Mr. Robert Lawerence Hollifield, 72, of 102 Vinewood Drive, Mooresboro, NC, passed away Sunday, June 20, 2010. Services were held at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery. 

Mr. Hollifield was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Crowder and Josephine Wilson Hollifield; 1 brother, J.C. “Pete” Hollifield; and 1 sister, Ruby Smith.

He is survived by his wife, Betty McCombs Hollifield; and 5 sisters, Louise Petty and Evelyn Glover, both of Ellenboro, Barbara Jones of Charlotte, Juanita Bailey of Bostic, and Myrtle Carpenter of Shelby.
