He was an active member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church serving as advisor for Luther League Youth Organization, Chairman of the Property Committee, and member of the St. Matthew's Lutheran Pre-School Board. He participated in other areas of service for the church and was coordinator at the church's weekly donations to Crisis Ministry. His great love and devotion was the choir. He never missed singing at the Christmas Eve Musical Service for 56 years and sang his last anthem in the choir Sunday, October 11, 2015. Bob was known by many different names-Best Friend and Husband to Judy, Dad to the children, Poppi to the grandchildren and their friends, and "Bob the Builder" to all the children at St. Matthew's Pre-School.
