Mr. Robert Lindsay Costner, 84, of 334 Sunrise Circle, Shelby, NC passed away Monday, April 11, 2011. Services were held at Cleveland Funeral Services Chapel, Shelby, NC. Burial followed in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Shelby, NC.
Mr. Costner was preceded in death by his wife, Rosa Smith Costner; his parents, Clem S. Costner and Ada Devine Costner; and 1 sister, Jewel Costner.
He is survived by 2 brothers, William Herman Costner of Shelby, and Warren C. Costner of Sumter, SC; 1 sister, Virginia Costner of Charlotte, NC; 3 nieces; 1 nephew; 6 great-nieces and nephews; and 5 great-great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 3932 Pleasant Grove Ch. Rd., Shelby, NC 28150.
