Mr. Robert P. “Rob” Ware, 91, resident of 121 Putnam Lake Rd., Kings Mountain, NC passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2010. Services were held at Patterson Grove Baptist Church, Kings Mountain, NC. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Mr. Ware served our country in the U.S. Army – WWII.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Page and Martha Lucretia Carroll Ware; 4 brothers, C.D. Ware, Howard Ware, James Ware, and Carl Ware; and 3 sisters, Nellie Thornburg, Mary Spearman and Lucille Randall.
He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Edythe Self Ware of Kings Mountain, NC; 2 step-sons, James Self and wife Lisa of Kings Mountain, and Fred Gossett of Tampa, Florida; his Honorary Daughter, Carolyn Falls and husband Hal of Gastonia, NC; 4 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 3 God Children; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Patterson Grove Baptist Church “Challenge To Build”, 301 Oak Grove Rd., Kings Mountain, NC 28086.
