Robert Thomas Black

Blacksburg -- Robert Thomas Black, 53, of 138 Bolton Parker Road, passed away Thursday, February 8th, 2018, at his residence.

Born in Gaffney, he was the son of Jackie Easler Black and the late Robert Joe Black. Mr. Black previously worked as a wrecker operator and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

In addition to his mother, Mr. Black is survived by two daughters, Elaine Black of Gaffney and Carla Black and husband, Kenny, of Blacksburg; one brother, David Black and wife, Robin, of Shelby; one sister, Karen Fowler and husband, Brook, of Greer; and six grandchildren, Veronica McCraw, Kayla Ross, Abbey Arrowood, Jaylen Ledbetter, Christopher "Brother" Ledbetter, and Hailee Fowler.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Susan Leopard.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 10th, 2018, from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm at Gordon Mortuary, 400 West Cherokee Street, Blacksburg, SC 29702. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00 pm with Rev. Jeff Connell officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Jay Leopard, Adam Leopard, Ely Leopard, Ben Weaver, Lawrence Laughlin, and Lynn Laughlin will serve as pallbearers.
