Robert William Selby Sr., age 76, of Shelby went to be with his Lord on Saturday, March 30, 2019 from his home on New House Road. Born in Baltimore, MD on January 1, 1943 he was the son of the late William Selby and Doris Darwood Speyer. He was an amateur Ham Radio Operator and his call sign was KA4RDY. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. When his health permitted he enjoyed gardening and working in the yard, He was the best husband, father and grandfather and was a kind hearted person who was thankful for all that he had and had a forgiving nature.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a son, Robert Selby Jr. and loving wife Barbara Ann French Selby.

Mr. Selby is survived by two sons, David Selby and wife Jeanette of Washington, and Richard Selby and wife Tammy of TN; two daughters, Donna Dewell of Shelby, and Barbara Selby Jr. of Shelby; one brother, Harold Parr and wife Cindy; one sister, Lois Turner of MD; and 18 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren

A gathering of friends will be held at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory on Tuesday April 2, 2019 at 11 am.

Memorials can be made to the funeral home to offset funeral expenses.
