Robin Laughlin Newton, 57, of 108 Newton Park Drive, Casar, passed away
Thursday, September 18, 2014 at Hospice at Wendover in Shelby.
Born August 19, 1957 in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of Douglas
Farrell Laughlin and Mary Alice Hendrick Laughlin. She was formerly
empolyed by Furnlite Industries and was a member of Corinth Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by grandparents, J.T. and Luesenior Laughlin and
grandparents that raised her, Doyle and Lou Ella Hendrick.
In addition to her parents she is survived by her husband of 28 years, Cris
Newton; two sons, Jimi Bivins and Ashley Bivins both of Casar; daughter,
Heather Newton of Casar; brother, David Laughlin of Shelby and five
grandchildren, Ashlin Bivins, Layne Galloway, Dylan Bivins, Gavin Harmon and
Jeremiah Aguero.
Visitation: 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Sunday at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home &
Cremation Center, Inc., Fallston.
Funeral Service: 11:00 AM, Monday at Corinth Baptist Church, Casar.
Officiating: Rev. Jeremy Peeler and Rev. Jimmy Black
Burial: will follow in the church cemetery
Memorials: In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice Cleveland
County, 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby, NC 28150.
